No doubt, if Jersey replaces Larsson with Trouba it would almost be an upgrade. One wonders what Edmonton would give up? |

So a player coming off his entry level deal is demanding a trade? That's fine, maybe by the draft the jets can make a deal that will work for them, or not and wait.
If I'm Morrisery, I just got an extra bounce in my step. |

I'm not so sure that sitting on Trouba with him not playing increases his value. |

How does his value change either way if he's not playing? All you have are his previous 3 years, WCH selection and his youth. That's enough. Maybe can check out the KHL in the meantime? I hear the pay cheques are on time, some of the time. |

A young player asking to be traded? How dare he! I wonder if all the GM's are going to gang up on him & his agent just like they did for Drouin? Or is Trouba too much of a temptation for ethics morals & consistency to get in the way???
How many said Drouin was just a spoilt brat? Admittedly Trouba has 'probably' played more but both just played for NA????
Negotiation tactic - signed by next weeks end in the Peg (or Buff will hunt him down & throw his tracksuit in his shower)! |

Well as I understand it, Drouin was pissy because he was sent down. This is more immature than just having different views on a contract, no? |

In the Media
"I'm asking for a trade because I want to play the right side"
Truth
"I don't want to live in Winnipeg in the winter." |

Rangers have perfect 3rd pair righty for them. Girardi. . Maybe throw in Lindbergh or Fast and a 3rd rounder. Rangers should forget about Shattenkirk. Would be better off with a younger guy. |

Didn't read the blog? Wants more opportunity doesn't he & oh, the money that the Peg probably doesn't want to spend.
So the Oil will spend & suck it & see??? Pretty risky if you were to ask me (which you probably won't ). The Peg will be a very good team & if Troubadour doesn't see that I'd call that being pissy. Easier to negotiate on potential than stay & prove your worth? Pretty sure I heard Drouin accused of similar issues. |

I'm going to drop this again....
Puljujarvi for Trouba straight up. Oilers fans want to see their 3rd overall pick progress in the oilers system but they need trouba. This deal makes so much sense for both sides and might put the oilers into a playoff position. Jesse gets to play with Laine..... lets get it done Chevy!

I'm not against these RFA's looking for a better environment/team to play their hockey & in fact I applaud the players that do try & get deals. What I'm pointing out is the reaction that supported Yzerman against Drouin & the disapproval of most on HB. Now Trouba is trying to do the same thing & everyone seems fine with it???
What's the difference? Players are wanting out of their respective organisations - both saying the reason is to progress their hockey?? Trouba is a little different it appears as most teams want/need his services so I guess the GM's are sweet with the circumstances even though they weren't for Drouin! |

Drouin refused to show up to work, and bailed on his teammates. Trouba didn't. Not comparable situations. |
